The Challenger Digital CATV system is made up of a digital headend that includes multiplexing, modulation, conditional access, a subscriber management system and a variety of set-top boxes, which include support of dual tuner PVRs and High Definition.

By simply adding and selecting the number and type of models a custom Headend can be assembled and delivered in a fast and orderly manner. Upgrades to Video over IP and other future enhancements can be added as the market demands.

The operator is assured that a complete integrated system will be delivered from Headend to the set-top boxes are delivered without compromise.

This is accomplished while your current transmission system remains in operation.

TVS not only integrates a high-quality Headend package featuring and delivering 1 MHz per program bandwidth. It does this in a Low Power Design which eliminates hard-drives and complex PC based components.

This eliminates heat, power and rotating fans which are the largest source of failures.

This makes for a highly reliable system that will last for years.

In the space of a single six-foot rack, the Challenger system allows hundreds of programs to be MPEG encoded from composite video sources or cherry picked from ASI sources, such as HITS, or QAM or VSB RF sources, such as local broadcast signals.

The programs are then multiplexed, encrypted, modulated and converted to any CATV frequency.

It doesn't stop there. We have an interactive program guide that is fully integrated with Tribune Data Services files.
