With an industry first, TVS sets the next standard in digital headend components with the Challenger™ DRM-QS, Intelligent Terrestrial Digital Receiver and Modulator.  The DRM-QS  processes digital signals from 8 digital off air stations, then transmodulates the signals from 8VSB into 4 QAM carriers and upconverts the signal to the 47 - 860 MHZ range.

      The Challenger’s 6th generation tuner demodulator helps protect the reception of signals located in harsh multipath areas and areas with difficult reception.  The QAM modulator provides support for all CATV standards from 4, 16, 32, 64,128, 256, and 1024 QAM modulation and Annexes A, B, or, C.
