TVS has developed the next generation of digital Headend components and set a new industry standard with the Challenger™ DSM-QS, Intelligent Satellite Digital Receiver and Modulator.  The DSM-QS  processes digital signals from eight L-Band inputs and transmodulates the signals from DVB-S or DVB-S2 into 4 QAM carriers.  The carriers are then up-converted to a contiguous set of frequencies in the 50 to 860 MHZ range. 

       The Challenger’s 6th generation tuner demodulator tunes the entire 950 to 2150 MHz range.  The QAM modulator provides support for all CATV standards from 4, 16, 32, 64,128, 256, and 1024 QAM modulation and Annexes A, B, or, C.
