MPEG2 Encoder
The MegaMux ENG-4000 is a complete four-channel real-time MPEG-2 encoder multiplexer. It converts NTSC or PAL video signals at approximately 6 megabits per second and multiplexes them to provide multiple program support.
The compact, all-in-one system integrates seamlessly with existing ENG equipment, increasing the transmitting capacity of ENG units by 400 percent by compressing four channels of composite video and four channels of stereo audio into a stream that can be sent over a single microwave link.
MegaMux ENG-4000 operates within parameters of proposed FCC regulations to reduce broadcasting bandwidth – while simultaneously enhancing the reliability of the microwave transmission path and improving bandwidth performance. |
