MPEG Encoder and Multiplexer



    The MegaMux STL-4000 and MegaMux ENG-4000 convert existing transmitting equipment into next-generation broadcast technology. Transparent Video’s first-of-its-kind, cost-effective multiplexers permit stations to save thousands of dollars while upgrading to HDTV at the studio and quadrupling signal output on ENG vans.

     The MegaMux STL-4000 enhances existing Studio-Transmitter Links with advanced MPEG encoding, decoding and multiplexing technology, coupled with multi-level digital RF modulation. The combined channels are transmitted over existing microwave links with baseband video input. NTSC or PAL video and DVB-ASI HDTV transport streams can be transmitted to signal towers simultaneously.

     The all-in-one, compact, rack-mount system transmits one analog video, stereo audio, HDTV SMPTE 310 or DVB-ASI over an existing analog microwave link.
